My Faith
By denomination, I'm a United Methodist. However, my faith is more complicated than that. I am a liberal
Christian even by Wesleyan United Methodist orthodoxy.  I sure am not perfect, and if it's necessary to be
consistently good to be saved then I won't be. I am saved because Christ died for me and I have accepted him.  I
don't have much patience with people who judge me and I tell me I am doomed to their hell. In my opinion THEY
are the ones who better look over their shoulder. Christ always told sinners to do better and invited them to
follow him.  The Pharisees were filled with religion, but they missed the point, and in my opinion, many so called
Christians of today are much like them.
Perhaps the best way to share my faith is to show a list of quotes that come close to explaining my personal
relationship with God.  Even if you refuse to accept faith in Christ, most of these aphorisms and quotes point to
a good way to live, but are surprisingly difficult to write in your heart or mine.
