Description:   Hoxie, is a small burg in Northeast Arkansas.  There is a junction in Hoxie with Union Pacific’s Hoxie
Sub crossing the BNSF’s Thayer Sub. It sees about 50 trains in 24 hours. That’s enough to please any railfan. Hoxie
was an entry in the original TRAINS Hot Spots special issue.  The junction lies right next to SW Texas St. and is
easily accessible. There is not much else in Hoxie but a bit larger town is just a mile and a half to the north.

Approximate # trains per 24 hours:   50+

Nearby RR stuff:  1.5 miles north is the Walnut Ridge Amtrak Station next to the UP.

Nearby Point of Interest:   The World Famous, (tonque firmly in cheek) Walnut Ridge Guitar Walk  map

Gregariousness quotient:   Low
